Not-So-Sports Club
Contact UsWe know traditional sport isn't for everyone, so we've created a club that's fun, free and just for girls. The Not-So-Sports Club (NSSC) offers recreation activities and a chance to make new friends. Girls are collected from our partner schools and transported to the location of the activity for the week. Previous activities have included Zorb Balls, Sport Canterbury'sTop Team, mountain biking, horseback riding, walks in Halswell Quarry, outdoor games in Hagley Park and more.
We currently operate NSSC's in Christcurch (Hillmorton High School, Hornby High School, and Te Aratai College) and Tauranga (Ōtūmoetai College).
For more information on starting a NSSC at your school, please contact as at nssc@forwardfoundation.co.nz -
Ambassador Programme
Request Information PackOur Ambassador Programme aims to increase participation in girls’ sports through identifying aspirational young female leaders and enabling them to inspire those around them to participate in sport. We’re not looking for the best player in the team, we’re looking for girls willing and passionate about kicking goals and helping grow girls’ sport in New Zealand.
Ambassadors receive leadership and personal development opportunities, an environment to grow as a person and the chance to create meaningful change through our Leadership award levels, specifically designed for teenage girls active in sport and recreation. The three levels are Spark, Quest and Challenge. Each level requires Ambassadors to attend Forward Foundation Ambassador Conferences, set goals and occupy an active role with the aim of increasing participation in their sport, and participate in discussion forums with other Ambassadors from across New Zealand. We’re looking for girls willing and passionate about kicking goals and helping girls's get active in New Zealand.
If you have any questions or would like to receive an information about the program, email ambassadors@forwardfoundation.co.nz

Combined Sports Teams
Contact UsWe don’t think it’s fair that anyone should miss out. That’s why we’ve put together combined teams of rugby, football, futsal and cricket in Canterbury, for girls who want to play but whose school doesn’t offer it. Girls from across the region come together in the weekly interschool competitions or tournaments as a team. The result – everyone who wants to play, gets to play.
We currently have teams for Rugby and Cricket but if there is a sport you'd love to plan and your school doesn't have a team, drop us line - we'd love to see if we can help.
